FAA Flight Training

We can provide FAA PPL and IR training (under 14 CFR Part 61) for those who own N Registered aircraft or who wish to fly extensively in the USA.

Biennial Flight Reviews and Instrument Proficiency Checks

These can be carried out in your own aircraft or one of ours. There is no requirement for TSA approval for such flights.

PPL

PPL training can be conducted as a stand-alone course or a conversion from an existing ICAO PPL. You must first meet the required experience (including night flying) contained in 14 CFR 61.109. Conversion training then involves a minimum of 3 hours training to cover ground reference manoeuvres, power off stalls with full flap and power on stalls. There is one computer based multiple choice exam. The check ride (aka skill test) can be undertaken in Le Touquet or in the USA. If you are not a US citizen, prior TSA approval is required for this licence prior to starting training. Please call 07729 776206 for further details.

IR

We can conduct a full FAA IR course. This is especially useful for those who own a UK based N-Registered aircraft and who wish to fly it IFR in Europe. If you are not a US citizen, prior TSA approval is required for this licence prior to starting training. Please call 07729 776206 for further details.

Student Pilot Certificates

Following a rule change on 1st April 2016, Student Pilot Certificates are no longer issued by FAA Aviation Medical Examiners. This rule change will only affect ab-initio candidates and is not relevant to anyone that currently holds a flying license. Please contact Alex on 07729 776206 for more information. Alternatively more info can be found by clicking the FAA logo to the right.
